Storm damage remedial building work

The client was not only IAG Insurance, the largest insurer in Australia, but also, and more importantly, the insured - a family with small children. This family was heavily impacted by storm damage to their home and it was our priority to have them comfortably back in their home as soon as possible.

Following a severe hail storm, the client suffered major damage to their near new concrete tiled roof resulting in multiple tiles being broken and water leaks into their house. This meant all the ceilings and some walls needed to be replaced, including some decorative cornice. The storm had also caused damage to the external pergola and garden shed which would both need to be replaced.

We understood the stress this family were under and the urgency to return them to the comfort of their refurbished home. This meant we needed to demolish and remove all damaged materials and return this property to as new condition fast.

As soon as possible, IAG organised removalists to help the family move to temporary accommodation. We got to work straight away.

With this model, we were able to focus our resources, and work to very compacted timelines to move this project in a logical sequence to deliver this family back into their home in just 4 weeks as we promised.

When the client found out that we had electricians in house, they also engaged us to upgrade the lighting throughout to LED cost efficient options which will save them up to 80% of their original bill in the process.
