This project for the Salvation Army was a new building for high level aged care within a staged facility complex. The building comprised of a 60 bed aged care facility including a secured dementia ward. Common areas included a reception area, commercial kitchens & serveries, large scale commercial laundry facilities, cool rooms, dining rooms and leisure areas.
This newly constructed facility required full data, power and light fitout as well as a fire detection and EWIS early warning system. The Salvation Army have a strict guideline for quality assurance on their projects to ensure the safety of the residents at their facilities.
We installed lighting, power and mechanical supplies as well as a fully networked data system for the phone & data services.
The project involved changing the existing main fire panel in the original first stage building to become a sub-panel connecting to our new main fire panel located in the new building (stage four).
Excel was able to meet the high approval standards set by the Salvation Army in delivering this custom design and installation and we received commendations from the development supervisor from the Salvation Army.
The communication level and attention to detail in the planning along with clearly laid out drawings ensured we knew exactly what we were going to achieve. They successfully delivered the project whilst maintaining productivity, within budget and with minimal disruption.
I know you would be as pleased as we are - we seem to have passed with 23 out of 25 for the fire safety which is the best we have anywhere - I have heard it is unusual to pass on the first inspection too. Please pass on our thanks - this is where it all counts.
Excel Tradeworks were always accessible, easy to communicate with and helpful with operational matters. Our project was delivered on time and budget.
